Gothenberg to Tromso: The route includes the possibility to visit the Hansa Brewery in Sarpsborg, Carlsberg/Ringnes in Oslo and Trondheim, finishing with the Mack Brewery in Tromso.
The route North from Trondheim stays with the Coastal Road (RV17) which is billed as being fantastic scenically, but will be more windy (twists, not farts) and includes three or four ferry crossings varying from 10 mins to 60 mins long which will eat time to some degree. For the film crew, I think it will be well worth while if the schedule allows.
Tromso to Gothenberg: There is an amount of step retracing down from Tromso, but variation when we take the Easterly inland road back down past the Coastal Road stretch we took on the way up, till we get to Trondheim again.
I am showing an alternative route back down from Trondheim to Drammen where we can catch the Aass Brewery (the oldest in Norway) before coming back down the East side of the Oslofjord into Sweden and to Gothenberg
Basically, it's about 1200 miles each way in effectively 12 days, which simplistically is an average of 200 miles per day. There will be stretches where 200 miles is a very pleasant ride out, and others where it will be a challenge (the Coastal Route section, for instance). With only 12 days travelling time to do ca 4000 kilometers, as much as we would like, our brewery visiting will be limited.
